Vocabulary: What does she look like?
Look at the following sentences from Megan's description:
- Megan is a tall and slim woman in her early thirties.
- Megan has got long, straight brown hair.
- She’s got light blue eyes.
- She has fair skin and a delicate, oval face.
In this first section, you will learn vocabulary to describe someone's physical appearance. Pay attention to the following features:
- What do/does ..... look like ? - This is the question we usually make when we want to know someone's physical appearance.
- In English, adjectives always go before the noun, unless we use the adjective as the attribute in a sentence with the verb "Be".

- straight brown hair
- light blue eyes
- fair skin and a delicate, oval face
- Use the verbs BE and HAVE GOT:
- She is tall and slim.
- She's got blue eyes.
- She's got an oval face.
