What do you look like ?

What you should know

By the end of this section, you will be able to describe someone's physical appearance. To reach that goal, take advantage of what you already know about descriptions. The following tips will help you with your task. I am sure you will do a great job!

Adjectives are great

A good physical description should include as many adjectives as possible. Remember that, in English, adjectives go before the main noun (eyes, hair, complexion).

Verbs count

Use Be and Have (got) when writing your description. You are tall and have beautiful green eyes.

Al final de esta sección serás capaz de describir la apariencia física de alguien. Para alcanzar tu objetivo, aprovecha lo que ya sabes sobre las descripciones. ¡Seguro que lo haces muy bien!

Recuerda que tus descripciones serán más ricas si haces un buen uso de los adjetivos, para describir los ojos, el pelo, etc, y no olvides que en inglés los adjetivos se colocan delante del sustantivo al que se refieren. Utiliza los verbos adecuados (Be / Have (got)). 

Por último, repasa el vocabulario que tienes en la unidad de Quizlet, que hará que tu descripción sea fantástica.

Look at the photographs and describe the people as accurately as possible. Write about their eyes, hair, general appearance, complexion, height, age, etc. (when possible).

You can download the text document with the "writing task" here (click) and save in your device, or print and write down your answers by hand. Then, either the case, write your descriptions and send it to your teacher in ".PDF" format. Convert your file using an online converter, such as online-convert (click).

This writing task will be evaluated according to the following rubric (click).
